Vet Nurses (Certificate IV)

We are always looking for passionate veterinary nurses for full time, part time or casual work.

Please send us your cover letter and resume.

Interested in becoming a Vet Nurse?

In the past, in order to enrol in a course at Box Hill Tafe to become a vet nurse, you had to first find employment at the veterinary clinic. The catch 22 here is that to find employment at a vet clinic as a trainee vet nurse, you would need to show prior experience working with animals preferably in a vet clinic environment.

However, now many private institutions and registered training organisations offer the same Nationally Accredited Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Most of these courses will still require you to have access to some kind of work placement agreement (either paid or voluntary). Please see Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia website for possible career paths.

On rare occasions Animal Medical Centre, Boronia will have positions available for work placement or traineeship.  Please send us your resume and cover letter to be included on our file.

Work Placement (Vet Nurse Students)

We accept work placement students. Please send us your resume and cover letter for consideration. Please note that positions fill up fast and applying is no guarantee that we will offer you a placement/position.

Work Experience/VCAL

We are currently not accepting applications for Year 10 work experience or Year 11 VCAL.
