New Clients vs. Existing Clients
New Clients
We welcome emergencies from all pet owners. However, if you’re not a regular AMC Boronia Vet client, please consider:
Contacting Your Regular Vet: If they’re still open, they’ll have immediate access to your pet’s history.
Forwarding Medical Records: If possible, please email past records to info@amcboronia.com.au before or upon arrival. This extra step helps us diagnose and treat your pet more quickly.
Existing Clients
If you’re already an existing client of AMC Boronia, we’ll have your pet’s records on hand and can jump straight into care.

Aftercare & FAQs
Can you offer advice over the phone without seeing my pet?
Unfortunately, we can’t diagnose or recommend treatment without examining your pet in person. It wouldn’t be safe or accurate.
How do I handle my injured pet?
Remember that even the most well trained and loving pet can behave differently when feeling ill or in pain. Approach all injured pets with caution. Despite your natural wish to comfort your ill or wounded pet, do not place your face or hands near his or her head until you can assess your pet's condition.
If you feel you cannot safely manage the emergency situation, ask your regular vet or AMC.
What if my pet’s situation doesn’t seem like an emergency, but I’m still worried?
It’s better to check. Give us a call at 03 9762 2555. We’ll help you decide if an immediate visit is needed.
Do you always have a vet on-site after hours?
Our team does its best to accommodate urgent cases. If we’re busy with another emergency or are unavailable, we may refer you to a 24-hour facility to ensure your pet receives timely care.
How do I pay for an emergency visit?
We can discuss costs and payment options once your pet is stable. Some owners use pet insurance—check your policy for emergency coverage.
Can my pet stay overnight at your clinic if they need post-surgery care?
Absolutely. We have overnight facilities where your pet can rest safely and comfortably after surgery. While our clinic is not staffed 24/7, we ensure your pet is settled and monitored appropriately before the team leaves and checked on promptly during operating hours. For pets needing continuous overnight care, we can recommend a 24-hour specialist facility.
